#BSPUG Baltimore SharePoint User Group – Open Forum SharePoint 2007 to 2010 migrations.

Tonight I attended the Baltimore SharePoint User Group. It was an open meeting. There was a fascinating discussion about the features of Office365. How does it compare to on premises SharePoint. The main difference – You don’t have Business Intelligence integration.

Also had some interesting discussion about 2010 migrations.

User Info tables can be an issue.

You can use Powershell to amend the User Info Table. The client was doing a domain migration as well as an upgrade from 2007 to 2010.

“When in doubt – Check Permissions.” It always comes down to an error in permissions.

Local Security policies will trip you up in a tightly controlled environment.

Next month the session will be about developing SharePoint no-code Solutions.
